Gin tasting and food pairing event
We love gin at St John’s Wine Rooms so we thought it was about time that we helped our customers find out more about this popular drink.
On Wednesday 21st February, our special host, Simon Little, who is the MD of No Comply Brands, will be on hand to present a mouth-watering selection of brilliant gins.
Simon will outline the history of gin and present a selection from each of the main styles for you to compare and contrast. We will also look at perfect tonic pairings and ideal garnishes.
Guests can also enjoy our trademark sharing boards which pair perfectly with gins:
Honey & thyme baked camembert, cranberry relish, sourdough baguette
English charcuterie board – Oxsprings air-dried ham, Suffolk chorizo, Cobble lane saucisson, spicy Dorset N’Duja, Isle of Wight smoked tomatoes, cornichons, kale pesto & crusty bread
Taste of the Baltic – Beetroot & Hendricks gin cured salmon, pickled herrings, salt & pepper squid, smoked haddock & vintage cheddar fishcakes, beetroot chutney, soured cream, malted bread
The event will be held in our exclusive Triple Aspect Room and will start at 7.30 pm. Tickets cost £25.00 and are available on a first come first served basis. Please note this event is now sold out! Sign up to our newsletter here to make sure you don’t miss out on our next tasting event
